Tip #2: Host a Playdate with Someone New!
Whether you have been at your school for 7 years or you are brand new to the school community, fostering new friendships is important for your child's social development. If your child has friends from previous years in school, set up a playdate with a familiar friend and a new one. It is healthy to let your child explore potential new friendships with new children- either brand new to the school or new to the homeroom. There are so many benefits of introducing your child to new experiences, environments and friendships! Always remember to have parental guidance available during playdates and monitor electronic devices.
